DARK HEART

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Your dark heart
Showed no mercy
The sunless sky
Looked down.
Clouds they grimaced
Tearless watchers
As my world
Came tumbling down.

So much I envied
Your daggered eyes
Your slicing cuts
To my bone
I could never
Be so cruel
My love lost
Without a home.

Yet as I watched you
Walk away
A candles flame
In distant night
I lost my envy
Along with forgiveness
In my soul
It was right.
