I'll be going home

Maplespal

I'll be going home

When I die I'll leave this state,
stare in the face of existences scent,
sniff the smell of the lives I've spent,
before I lived this deflated sphere,
rounded towards death it will re-appear.

Into essence I will float away,
disillusioned and astray.
The relativity of a true,
living in a different view.
A feeling unreal, existence aware,
into the abyss I'll blindly stare.
Evolving to a higher integration,
a more profound realization,
of the species I am now,
hidden behind a humans brow.

Back between the atoms respawn,
when I reach the darkened dawn.
When I die and leave this state.

A poem of moving on and the transience of existence in one state or another. Very nicely stated
