Like the wind brushing softly against your skin with a tender sigh,
I shared my dreams with bated breath,
Hoping my story would not be forgotten
Hopelessly thinking that when the time came ,
It will be told with the line that it happened as I said.
Forgetting that my story is not as I said but what fate wrote down.
Did I speak too fast?
I ask myself that question, many a time
Like a greeting with the answer fine,
When the face is clouded with gloom,
where nothing feels fine.
I should have kneaded my heart like dough,
it hardened, heavy as stacked bricks.
My light grew dim and shattered dead in the night,
I was plunged into darkness, time after time,
Left to gather the shards with trembling hands,
Careful not to carve new scars into old wounds.
with no coin to spare,
I couldn’t replace the light I’d lost.
If a had a coin to spare,
The only option was still to survive suffocating dark,
No remedy was going to be near.
In that darkness, all I could feed on was hope.
When the darkness was lifted,
When tomorrow that never came bled into another,
My friends stood miles ahead.
Then our goodbyes were said at the same time,
Later on, my starting point was their finish line,
And their they stood crowned by their triumphs,
soaring through skies I could only dream of.
perhaps the wind knew something I didn’t.
When it chose to blow me in a different direction.
The detour was not denial,
A delay in a time of my own,
A time i share with those I love the most.
When I was wading in those waters,
Together we nourished our souls with hope
Never let fear take root It was only going to pull us under
From a stream that one can easily walk on,
to more, to an unyielding ocean.

Hope follows hardships and one is never lost. Most lovely with a tenderness and softness
Hope keeps me going . It helps face a new day when the previous was like hell
Great write
