WINTER SKY

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

A multitude of stars
Blinked an eye
Upon first kiss
Of Winter sky.

The frozen gravel
Beneath my feet
Wheezed in pain
My step to greet.

The hazy vision
From watery eyes
Upon such path
Gently sighs.

As infants dream
Such wondrous dreams
Old men in memory
Thoughts are streamed.

Distant cottage
A burning light
At windows lattice
Upon the sight.

A multitude of stars
Blinked an eye
Upon first kiss
Of Winter sky.

This is awesome. I really like the short stanza style and rhyming patterns. Tells the story with great imagery also. "Upon first kiss, of winter sky". Very pretty to imagine.
