Cesium's glow

Maplespal

Cesium's glow

Cesium's glow does not compare,
to the images your eyes used to share.
Your blue shines free and true,
no heating to reveal their skew.

The glow comes from more then your eyes,
it comes from beyond the skies.
Galaxies beyond the milky way,
looking down through a suns ray.

Those eyes brighter then cesium's glow,
I always got lost in your blinking show.
Space ships, portals, taking us far,
shrinking and travelling through a star.

Lost in a space in which I peer,
those eyes took away my fears.
Now I sit remembering your view,
cesium's glow a fainter blue.

I loved the development of this poem and the last lines that emphasize the meaning. Time dims all things and with its wear images fade. A lovely piece and worth a Fave
