A SHOULDER TO CRY

kashish

Sobbing underneath the quilt

For a reason that remained unknown

Maybe today it was too burdensome

Too wearing to be tackled alone.

Yet she gave her best shot concealing

The emotions she chose to resist

However it is the dusk which made her realize

All the tears were not used up, a handful still exist.

The pain tormented her all at once

As she was gazing at the starry sky

With puffy eyes and a deep sigh, she wondered-

'What if I too had a shoulder to cry'

Off to the bed she went

Nothing to think, no more to say

An anticipation of finding solace in the dreams

The curtains were drawn and the lights fade away.
