Notice of absence from NinjaGirl
Hi everyone! I have been gone for a while, I don’t know if any of you all have noticed, but I apologize for not leaving a notice anyway. I will be gone for a while. I am not done writing poetry, and I have not given up. But I will be away for some time. I expect to return around 2028. Not sure if any of you guys will see this, but thank you for reading my poetry. Please do not worry, I will be okay! I look forward to returning!

the shame i carry
feels so heavy
the power you still hold
all against me still
its not fair
the shame
it shouldnt be mine
it should be yours
the power
it should be mine
it shouldnt be yours
so ill take it back
no matter how long it takes
it will be mine.

Raw sometimes is better than revised, my dear friend. Right now it's what it needs to be and, if ever you choose, you can rework or write a follow up. I've at least found that approach to be liberating. I could feel every bit of pain and hurt in your words. They come across very deeply and, for this poem, that is key. Well done NinjaGirl! ❤️
thank you Tristan! I don't usually revise my poems, they're usually a jumble of words on paper a bit like this one haha
Poems can be liberating to the author and at their most powerful state liberating to others as well. I hear the determination in this poem and feel the drive
thank you for reading!
