As The Clouds Gently Roll on By.
I struggle through the bushes of my life.
Feeding the thorns snagging in my sides.
The sharp cuts remind me I am still alive.
As the clouds gently roll on by.
The branches appear to lead to nowhere.
Vibrant green leaves will not last forever.
Eventually even the roots will start to die.
As the clouds gently roll on by.
I feel like the Bush searching for the light.
Nourish and feed, help me stand up right.
Replenish the foundations of my old life.
As the clouds gently roll on by.
The seasons change as my mood swings.
Success and failure are confusing things.
Continuous thirst of water to stop me dry.
As the clouds gently roll on by.
I would like nature to propagate my seed.
But another me the world does not need.
I’m in desperate need of a blue sunlit sky.
As the clouds gently roll on by.
I guess in time nature will do its own thing.
Gradually feed, water me, to keep me living.
All the seasons of life, I can continue to try.
As the clouds gently roll on by.
