Behind the kiss
I was interested in you,
and you were interested in me.
Our conversations showed this view,
it helped the words, allowed us to see.
Our voices together created a song,
vibrated each sentence into a tone.
Each day a rhythm built together strong,
weakest when speaking to ourselves alone.
Thank you for all the songs we sang,
all the conversations behind your kiss,
all the sounds from you that rang,
of everything, it's your voice I miss.
Thank you for every conversation we had,
from behind the kiss.
