STREETLIGHT

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

The streetlight
On the corner blinks
One,two, three
And then repeats.
The night is cold
A dog it barks
Theres frost
Beneath my feet,

Early hours
Moonlit sky
Voices echo
On the air
Distant, boisterous
With an echo
Through the cold
Winter lair.

You have set the scene well and I feel that I have been there, in fact am sure I have. I feel that I am there now and from here were do I proceed? Nicely written

Liking the shape of this poem and the contemplative and atmospheric feel, almost like an embrace. Thanks for sharing. πŸ‘πŸ•ŠοΈ
