Mendacity

Katdream

slung like a black shroud over a corpse
his mendacity filled every inch of the room
as lies spilled from his crooked mouth
he became a malicious clown of sorts
vindictive plans screeched to an unexpected halt
as I laughed at his arrogant approach
ripping off his mask of deceitfulness

Powerful work. I just watched Cat on a Hot tin roof, last night with the key theme being mendacity. lol

Love that movie! I used that as a catalyst to write this short little poem. Happy New Year Thomas.
