SUMMER HAZE

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

If she could have stayed
In that Summer haze
Leaving only the perfume air
A few strands
Of her long blonde hair
Our bed left
As a wasteland
My hours now so bleak.

No warning no note
No poetry to cloak
Merely vanished
In that summer haze
Vibrating loss
A mourning kiss
Upon an empty dawn
Forlorn.

Moments long
To hours stretch
Night it falls
No telephone calls
No letter arrives
No footsteps fall
If she could have stayed
In that Summer haze.

Haunting in feel aswell as longing. It reads with an unfinished ending and this is as it should be. A most delicate and fragil wirte the leaves a broken feeling. Lovely

Very relatable and moving! How some people seem to vanish and leave the heart wanting and longing. πŸ™πŸ»πŸ•Š
