One Month Since

Lyra Silvertongue

ONE MONTH SINCE

One month since our last goodbye,
One month since your face passed me by.
One month since our last glance met,
One month of longing and regret.

One month since you left my lair,
One month of searching for your care.
One month since your gentle voice whispered low,
One month of sleepless nights I've known.

I question if you ever think,
Does my absence leave a hollow link?
Do you ever feel this lonely space?
Do you still crave what we once embraced?

One month since I heard your joyous laughter,
One month since I yearned for our playful banter.
One month since I saw your warm smile,
One month since the start of this vile.

Do you lie awake, lost in the night?
Do you still yearn for our past light?
Was our bond just a fleeting dream,
Or did it hold something supreme?

One month since I reached for your                                                                                                    warm, gentle hand,
One month since our shared horizon
slipped away like sand.
One month since your luminous eyes                                                                                                      disappeared from my sky,
One month of searching for answers,
lost  in " why " ?

One month since our hearts parted ways,
One month since I saw Light's Ray,                                                                                                               One month since you took my sense of home,
One month of tears I've had to call my own.
