Midnight Candles

Reynaldo Casison

The First Midnight Candle

Sighed To Other,

Her Beauty Lit Our Love,

We Shall Keep Her Beauty

And Love Warm

Through The Midnights

And Soothe

To The Morning Light

In Their Sweet Warm Glow

The Clouds Like Rose Gypsies

Drifts On By

While Her Exotic Beauty Unwinds

Like A Summer VineYard

Sigh Upon Sigh

The Candelabra Of Midnight Candles

Like The Golden Candle Stars

Sparkling Upon The Maples,

Were Like Cool Drifters,

Mellow And Sultry

As Moonlit Waves

Upon Heavenly Shore

Who Felt Love For The First Time,

The Moonlight

With Her Exotic Sweet Beauty,

Pours Its Fine Wine

Honey,

And

Love Sublime

Reynaldo Casison

For many loved her but only knew the beating her heart! An aside inspired while reading this excellent poem.

Nicely done, Reylaldo. A fine write.
