Theres a sadness
So very deep in you
It reflects from
Your eyes of awesome blue.
I can see the many
Times youve tried
Taking failure
Tears youve cried.
All the years
Rolled into one
Like a shadow
You have become.
A dying angel
Heavy wings to fall
About your body
Heavens silent call.
Maybe in
Another life or two
I could be reunited
With you.
We could smile
That familiar smile
Embrace the tender time
If only for awhile.
