Again;
This time followed by the deepest
Arpeggio, repeating
The same long, dark, devilish notes—
A depressed, diminished triad.
The sullen root—the bass note
That deliberately waltzes—
Moves ever so sorrowfully,
Spinning around in minor third
Dimensions diminished down to
A fifth of what they used to be.

Shadowy
Underbelly of missing hopes—
Because the cloud that covered them
Hung darkly, heavy, and dismayed,
Never, ever to go away.
This Sitka spruce creates a sound
That is hauntingly beautiful,
Yet so discordantly haunting.

You have outdone yourself with this poem of music that can be seen. The format was perfect and the words resound in the eye as well as the ear. This is a Fave

A fine write T. Though my style is mainly to 'ascend'. Yet we're 'heavier' at some seasons, such as Lent, and not all the Psalms are praise-y in all their verses.

Indeed. One of my favorite hymns ever is "O Sacred Head Now Wounded." Many of my favorite hymns are the passion hymns. Just love them. Anywho, thank you, my dear friend. Glad you enjoyed the poem! πŸ™β€οΈ

I perhaps wouldn't go as far as to call them devilish notes, but they certainly have dark undertones! The piano, while basic, is a hauntingly beautiful instrument.
