With the sun about
To set behind the trees
A warm refreshing
Gentle summer breeze
Caressed my face
And lingered for a while
Producing just a flicker
Of a smile.
A shroud of darkness
Beckoned to intrude
On what had been
An evening interlude
Away from the stresses
And the strain
Of a world
To which I now
Return again...

Excellent write
I loved the flow and fhyme of this poem that seemed to carry me from beginning to end. Very nicely done
Liked how reality slips in and out like sunlight dappling from the leaves.
