ODE TO MARY

ODE TO MARY

Mother of Jesus, pure and kind,

Queen of eternal lands and mind,

More bounteous than golden sands,

Gracing our outstretched hands!

Mary, comforter of the afflicted, virgin and pure,

Thou art most chaste, most celibate and secure!

Hope for all women, guide in our test,

In heaven’s tender glow, thou art manifest,

A vision of grace or a lingering dream,

Thy light pervades earth like a stream!

Who can behold beloved Mary, adorned in light,

A virgin queen captivating every day and night.

Her chastity and pure soul, a story etched in untouched gold,

Of earthly empires vast and of all heavenly tales untold.

A beacon birthed from faith and light,

An icon of virgin purity and might,

Let all praises be to the Blessed Virgin,

Who is free from blight, bruise or sin!

Her life, portals of hope, deep as time,

Reflect that purity like an eternal rhyme.

Oh, who cannot but see the stars in the sky,

That twinkle in her love that cannot die,

And every story in mankind’s ancient lore,

Of kings and criminals who walked before,

Published words and tales and phrases,

That sing stories of Virgin Mary’s praises.

Mary, most pure, and a symbol of chastity,

Pray for me to become like thee!

In thy glance and prayers, the universe can unfold,

Erasing all sins and sorrow, both benign and bold,

Like a fleeting muse, or as a fleeting flame,

Forever existing here, with thy virgin name.

In heaven’s eternal grace, thou art shall stand,

A virgin soul enshrined, with purity as planned.

When frost whispers woes to our human tears,

Yet in thy virgin legacy, even the cold despairs.

Oh, gentle spirit, radiant flame of pure chastity,

The world itself shall speak of thy name and legacy,

For in thy gaze, the heavens with hope gleam,

A living poem, a virgin icon and a waking dream.

Mary, most pure, a mother most chaste,

Pray for women who are laid to waste!

Thy supplications to God in heaven,

Shall save me from suffering and sin!

The purity thou bear are whispers of old,

Of epochs fierce and of treasures bold.

Each word in thy prayer, a sacred art,

A map that leads to heaven’s heart.

Thy virgin power, like flames, burn all sins away,

So fierce and true, thy chastity engulfs our day,

Greater that goddesses forged by men,

Holier than angels adored by heaven,

More beauteous than the sun and stars,

Greater in might than the victors of wars.

Virgin Mary embodies love, purity and pride,

A timeless force which no mortal can divide.

Oh, sovereign of all the women in heaven,

And icon for those on this little earth,

Adored by desert dwellers of the golden sand,

Whose past and future is in God’s infinite hand.

Thy reign of chasteness is every mortal’s dream,

A timeless spirit, like an everlasting stream.

A spirit woven from heaven’s embrace,

In eternal chastity which time cannot erase.

Thou art linger above like a gentle flame,

A vision pure, without a blemish in thy name.

Thy breath of amber, a hope so bright,

Like the cerulean shade of a calming night.

Together with thy virgin soul and purity,

Gracing the world, like sun meeting sea,

Thou art what I seek in my life’s legacy,

Bound in the timelessness of eternity.

Virgin most prudent, thou art embody endless grace,

The purest soul on earth, a living echo of thy place.

A queen, a mother, a mortal, and a Virgin star,

Let thy chastity be a light guiding us near and far.

Thy prayers shall cascade like rivers, effortless and free,

For women who seek to be untouched, undefiled and holy!

Mary, tower of ivory, symbol of purity, icon of immaculacy,

Pray for my enduring courage to keep steadfast in chastity,

For earthly envy, fierce as the desert’s unforgiving air,

Seeks to rob womenkind of their purity and thy prayer.

Both a muse and mystery, an echo of hope and happiness,

Virgin Mary is the epitome of purity and excellence,

In all of the forgotten lands, or deserts wild and pure,

With her prayers, she summons grace without grandeur.

Mary, gate of heaven, pray for me,

And let God be kind in His Mercy,

So women like me may remain alone,

And in chastity, all our sins atone,

And in thy virgin legacy, we may stand,

And glorify thee in this desolate land.

Mother undefiled, we seek thy prayers for all the mortal dames,

We invoke thy intercession with thy glorious names:

Virgin most powerful, beloved to all till immortality,

Pray that we stay undefiled and unmolested by perfidy;

Oh, let not the heavens leave us to our own doings,

Let them not abandon us to the wrath of our own sins!

Shall angels too begin to despair as we die,

For in every soul, they shall hear the cry,

Wherein oppressive hearts and cruel minds,

Suppressed their women in sins that blinds?

Truthful Mary, thou art a mystical rose,

Pray for us till we are in death throes!

Let chastity not abandon us in the end,

So in virtue, every woman can ascend,

And not succumb to the desolation of man,

Nor give in to the despair of a sinful clan,

O, let our universe not delve into utter sin,

And let me remain - like thee - a Virgin!

Virgin most merciful, thy tales have been told,

Virgin most holy, a house of eternal gold,

In heavenly hope, and in thy Virgin love,

Down from the shining skies above,

Thy prayers paused the pain of the dead,

And with joyful haste the sinners hath fled,

And all unchaste creatures of yore,

Chose to adopt reminiscences of before.

And thy pure soul, O progeny of Aaron,

Shall save our gallant brethren!

The chaste heart in thee will illuminate,

Womenkind and feminine immaculate,

Who shall emulate thy pure ways,

And remain sinless to their final days!

God save the noble legacy of thine,

And let thy modesty be our undying sign!

Though evil sins are gathering its reins,

Over every nation on earth’s vast plains,

And women are coerced to be in chains,

And unchaste ones are advancing our pains,

Now, only God can save us in this hour of need,

And thy holiness and prayers be our heavenly mead,

Oh, pray we be chaste like thee and thy son,

And every woman on earth in chastity be one,

So, the God Who is True, and the God I adore,

Permits women such as me to be pure,

For He saves the true, the brave, and the meek,

And I of all mortals, am eminently weak!

Mary most holy, an icon of purity,

I seek only a portion of thy chastity!

Let all women adhere to thy life,

O, pray so we may defeat all strife,

And let me forever be perpetually pure,

And upon this cold earth, be sound and secure,

And remain untouched as thy own legacy,

So I may emulate thy holy virginity!

When mortal men mingle in their rage,

Assuaging wars their own people wage,

Using pride as a pretence to kill,

 Defying God and His heavenly Will;

Yet not too proud to rob or plunder,

Seeking glory in their brute blunder-

Burners of barn and homestead,

Defiler of both the living and dead,

Becoming slayers of women and children,

Manifesting the worst amongst men-

Raising banners against the innocent brave,

Cursing goodness unto the nameless grave;

Wherein women fall prey to fear and foes,

Drowning in misery and adulterous woes!

Mary, refuge of sinners, defender of our days,

Let all gallant women prosper in chaste ways,

And with thy prayers, smother all wrong,

Protecting the timid from the sin of the strong!

Let not their vengeance wreak upon the weak,

Nor their envy taint the modesty of the meek!

Then pray for brave young women who seek thy ways,

Whose tongue echo thy majesty, morality and praise!

Pray for earth’s daughters who from thy love do not exhaust;

Who glorify and uphold chastity, even when all is lost.

Mary, thou art a mother inviolate and holy,

Pray for me to be akin to thee in chastity!

Every woman’s gain, thy heart will cheer,

And their tale of terror or forgotten tear,

Along the banks of this word of men,

Let thy prayers be mightier than the pen,

And supplicate for women who languish here,

Who are denied the privilege to be thy peer,

Who cannot be chaste, untouched or virgin,

Whose purity are preyed upon by crude sin,

O then be the ally I so long had to seek,

Dispense mercy upon the tears upon my cheek,

Let all women be in thy glory be good and holy,

And emulate thy virgin life and thy chastity!

The end may come to us stealthily along,

And battles brutalise all but the strong.

The fierce foreign eagles shine in their clouds,

The battle-worn foes are carrying their shrouds,

Corpses cluster along the banks of every river,

And men continue to battle, beat and plunder,

And while war-hosts muster legions and lies,

Forgetting mortals shall perish with everlasting sighs,

But how can death frighten me when God is here,

Or when blessed Mary in her Virgin might is near,

And her prayer glow as moonlight over dark lands,

Casting a bloom of hope amid shifting sands?

With love and chastity whispering in every line,

Virgin most renowned, thou art my only sign!

Cradling oceans of sorrow in her hands.

Comforting countless souls in these lands,

Offering women a pulse of truth and grace,

Who are lost in the maze of this timeless place.

O queen of lasting dreams, draped in faith and sighs,

Let me drink deep of thy purity that never dies,

And seek from thee that chaste and eternal prayer.

Wherein I find the spark of hope laid bare,

And in thy regal poise, in thy luminous presence,

Let all women be pure in thy virgin essence.
