In shadows deep where silence grows
A heavy heart a face that knows
Each day a weight a climb so steep
In restless nights I struggle to sleep.
The world moves on but I stand still
A hollow ache an empty will
With every smile a whispered sigh
A longing for the days gone by.
The laughter fades the colors blur
In crowded rooms I feel a stir
Yet no one sees the tears I hide
The quiet pain I carry inside.
I search for light but darkness calls
A fragile hope that slowly falls
Each step I take feels like a fight
In a world that dims the brightest light.
But in this storm I hold on tight
To fragile dreams that spark a light
Though life is hard I’ll find a way
To greet the dawn of another day
In the depths of existence, where darkness reigns
A silent scream echoes, a cry in vain
A soul trapped, lost, and forsaken, it seems
A fleeting breath, a moment's pause, a dream
Life's labyrinthine path, a twisted maze
A puzzle with no solution, a riddle that dazes
Each step, a stumble, each fall, a crash
A fragile heart, a mind in a mad dash
The weight of the world, a crushing stone
A burden to bear, alone, and unknown
The tears we've cried, the scars we've worn
A testament to the pain that's been born
In the mirror's gaze, a stranger's face
A reflection of the emptiness, the hollow space
A heart that's lost its rhythm, its beat
A soul that's searching, yet can't find its feet
The shadows creep, they whisper low
"Give up, surrender, let the darkness grow"
A siren's call, a tempting reprieve
From the agony, the suffering, the grief
But still we cling, to the fragile thread
Of hope, of love, of life, of what's been said
A glimmer of light, a spark that remains
A flame that flickers, but refuses to wane
Oh, the desperation, the despair, the pain
The longing to escape, to flee, to break the chain
The suicidal thoughts, the dark allure
A seductive whisper, "Come, let's end it, for sure"
But still we hold, to the shattered pieces
Of a heart, of a soul, of a life that's ceased
The memories, the love, the laughter, the tears
The fragments of a dream, that's lost through the years
In the silence, a scream is heard
A cry for help, a plea, a prayer, a word
A desperate shout, into the void
A call for rescue, a lifeline, a rope
Oh, death, you lurk, you loom, you wait
A patient thief, a silent fate
You stalk, you creep, you whisper low
"Away, away, away, from this world's woe"
But still we cling, to the fleeting thread
Of life, of love, of hope, of what's been said
A glimmer of light, a spark that remains
A flame that flickers, but refuses to wane
In the shadows, a light will shine
A beacon of hope, a love divine
A guiding force, a helping hand
A lifeline, a rope, a way to stand
For in the darkness, a voice is heard
A whisper of love, a gentle word
A reminder that we're not alone
A promise that we'll find our way back home
So we'll hold on, to the fragile thread
Of hope, of love, of life, of what's been said
We'll rise above, the shadows' sway
We'll find our way, through the darkest day.

A just wonderful piece of poetry, although about being in the depths of despair and weighed down by the world, it is a uplifting piece of writing about how ever small that glint of Hope, Life, Love etc is, cling on to it and you will find a way out, Really enjoyed the read.
