From the harshness of Everest,
To savage war trenches,
There's the will to survive,
While keeping your senses.
And once you do,
Life has a way,
Of taking it all,
anyway.

It always amazes me where some people get their inner resilience from. I guess until we are tested ourselves we will never know. The examples you have written about, certainly would be extreme circumstances. I thought of George Mallory, who lost his life on Everest. I also thought of war poets. Thank you for sharing.
I'm so fascinated by and inspired by people like George Mallory. People who risk it all to truly experience life. It's funny you mention that. I just read a book on Everest, and next is a book on trench warfare, so you definitely understand where I'm coming from. Thank you so much for reading and relating, kind soul.
I guess it doesn`t matter how much resilience you have, eventually life will get you, enjoyed the read
we're all just skin and bones, right? Thanks for reading and relating and sharing the concept of impermanence with me. Blessings
You are very welcome
