Retired at 42
Something I never thought I'd have to do
Something that could not be foreseen
Fuck February 2019
My life has been eventful
Injuries I've had my plate full
Piled up one after another
Scars pile on top of each other.
A sick sinking feeling
That my body gave up on healing
More metal than bone these days
All caused by my old ways
I played like nothing could hurt me
Even though most days I was in agony
I acted like nothing was bothering
Stupid attempt for popularity
It worked though...
But now I'm on the wrong side of 40 (47 now)
I can barely walk around slowly
I'm legally fully disabled
And I find out I'm only days from going back on the table
February 3
new surgery
March 26 is another for me
Maybe I'll get my broken neck fixed
And go for 3... (Might as well go for the hat trick)
Getting old is never fun
But it's worse when your body rejects you...

Excellent write
Thank you. I appreciate it. I just found out this afternoon about Monday's surgery... Talk about last minute notice.
You're welcome
Sorry to read of your serious health issues, just to wish you all the best
Thanks. I'm going in with a positive attitude. I accept this is my doing. Maybe if I didn't do Backyard Wrestling in the 90's or go berserk in the Haunted House that I helped design and acted in or if I didn't drive like an idiot when I first got my license and didn't get in several bad wrecks... Things might have been different. But honestly I wouldn't trade a minute of those experiences. Even if I complain about it LOL 🤣
