A boy, a silver spoon toy, he thought it to be too poor
So as a man, his father's business he ran, but always wanted more
Power wanted, wealth flaunted, even a TV show
Though lawless, he ran for public office, charming many below
He dreamed to see a country with a whip of liberty at its side
Blinders blurred to reminder's word, freedom's bloody hands of genocide
From parents torn a child, mercy defiled, words bouncing off deaf ears
Modeling his action after Jackson, another trail of tears
Sprouted seed, from capitalistic greed, that always needed more land
Canada a new state, he would liberate, build a wall in the Panama sand
After he won thought he was the sun, now desired to be God
Never content, with his tongue's razor he rent political correctness' facade
A public offender he outlawed transgender, treating them as toxins
Being a rule bender he legislated gender, setting when it begins
So as his sun set, he was upset, vowed next day he'd return
Rattling his saber at foreign labor, what's to come wait and learn

A wonderful description and very accurate one of the man that is going to cause the world an awful lot of problems and take his own country (that he reportedly loves ) back by about 50 years. Well expressed, great read
Thank you so much for the read and comment Tobani I am anti political not a supporter of any party but we will have to wait and see what comes of all this.
You are very welcome
Oh my, you say it all so poetically, what a ghastly world in which we have these ugly good for nothing loaded politicians, and none are worse as Trump. My very sore point, it's hard to believe he got the votes from the very people he will now screw over. Sorry I can't say it better than that. He speaks from his arsehole. Again please forgive my language I cannot say it more politely. A very clever way of making a point millions are now scratching their heads to fathom. 🌹
Thank you Teddy for your read and support it is most valued. I certainly am not a Trump supporter nor a supporter of any politicion. I only know what I see and hear and as I said at the end we will have to wait to see the outcome. Thanks so much
Raising that banner in this sociopolitical commentary in verse 🙏🏻👍🏻🕊
Thanks Cryptic. The poem sounds a little one sided but I only know what I see and hear and not being a prophet I will have to wait and see what comes of all this. I appreciate the read and comment.
Wait and learn we shall see. Did you know that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion can cause severe air traffic problems evidently? Who knew oppression kept the airways safe? 🤷♂️ I am not sure whether to laugh or cry at this poem, nor what it will take for his supporters to wake up, if that is even possible at this point. Methinks not. Anywho. Well done, on this Soren, and you will see that our poems today share a certain...ehem...theme! LOL! 😝
Thanks Tristan I take no sides but my own but fear people treading on my feet. I don't pretend to see the future but will wait and see like everyone else. Appreciate the read and comment.
Unfortunately, "waiting and seeing" has historically had devastating results. That is my largest fear. As I see it, protesting through poetry, writing, and art are ways to do something, and who knows where it goes from there. Anywho, you're welcome, my friend. 😊
I see Donald Trump in this poem. He certainly is one worth keeping an eye on. A wonderful thoughtful poem. Excellent cadence and construction. Enjoyed
Thank you David appreciate the read and comment
Nice flow and meter, seems to remind me of political regimes.
Indeed thank you for your word of support. Your read is appreciated
