Falling

Falling

Into darkness

An infinite abyss

I don’t know how long I’ve been here

Downwards

It is the last line that gives this poem a sense of instability that returns to the first lines. Very nice

Not a pleasant place to be. When you hit rock bottom, the only way is up. Most of us have been there and bounced back. Your brevity works well in this piece. Great description and conveyed with feeling.

        Thank you very much

Once upon a time I came across something called "Naikan." It's based on asking yourself these three questions:
What have I received from others?
        What have I given others?
What troubles and difficulties have I caused others?

Maybe the darkness and falling into the abyss could be a way of self reflection. It's important to understand our impacts on each other.

That's a good point. Don't fall too deep!

Very poignant piece, sometimes when we hit rock bottom we do self reflect and out of that reflection hopefully find a way out. Well written piece, with feeling
