"Please don't cry" they said as I told them the reason for my tears.
They keep saying “be patient” as I turn off my emotions and wipe away my fears.
I'll wipe my fears away with my poetry.
I'll scream louder as I become more weak.
My heart isn't stone.
So why am I still so alone?
They said a stone cold heart might make you feel less heartache and pain.
But all it will really do is numb your brain.
Make you think certain things.
No one knows how deep your pain goes.
They say they can see right through you, but you're just a ghost
They won't see you until you're gone and the only thing left is a poem or song.
You claim those thoughts are gone.
But as you lose each dream, you'll seem to be more lost.
Dreams of loved ones there to hold you tight.
Turn into nightmares of you telling yourself it's alright.

Great write
I can connect with this piece of work, hiding the loneliness and pain away inside, the more you try to deal with it, the worse it becomes. Well expressed writing
Thanks! That's how I feel every day
You are very welcome, it will get better
