Rigidity always snaps
In the confines of existence
The road always leads back
Where you started at
In the search for happiness
attainment is not the goal
In the pursuit I was happiest
And that made me confused
Lost in a void
lost in a whirlpool
Only to confound
My deepest insights
In Living the profound
Once I thought I had it
Only to be turned around
Tides of desire battle logic
Balance out of kilter
Dragging me down
Yes! we meet ourselves where we started
The journey merely allows us to unpack
Disturbances divert us
we are quickly set back
We start again renewing the endeavour
Life is a path of learning
You start by yearning
Not for what is not
But what is being.
We meet ourselves coming back
And that is resilience
To face each new tomorrow
Less burdened but further ahead than before

This was an interesting read as the title suggests, as we get older we revert more back to behaving as we did as a child, we go forward in life and then we make the return journey, enjoyed the read.
Resilience is fuelled by experience. So that we may meet each day a little more unhindered.
A interesting concept that deserves some contemplation. This may be true on many levels. We make the same mistakes over and over, we revert physically and sometime mentally as we age. Very nice
A profound and introspective poem that parallels principles of reincarnation on some levels. 🙏🏻🕊
Excellent write
