Tattoos

CuriousWanderer

What if everyone's story

Was tattooed on their skin?

Their greatest deeds

Their greatest sin

All the sadness you've ever felt

All the happiness too

Every triumph

Every Waterloo

What would you see

When you look upon me?

Would I see such too

When I look upon you?

Your mother's death

Your grief and pain

Your friends' hugs

Keeping you sane?

It would all be there

Plain as day

How would I act?

What would I say?

Would I be kind?

Would I be mean?

If I knew all about you

Which way would I lean?

If everyone's story

Was tattooed on their skin

Bearing our greatest deeds

And our biggest sins

Would we show compassion?

For what another's been through

I'd like to think so

Cause you would see me too

That is a clever write about the fact we are not aware of each others life`s and tribulations and what some people have been through, and if we could see, would we treat them different. A enjoyable and poignant read
