Drowning

Freddi

The icy water embraces my body,
slowing my movements, trapping me within.
Oxygen fades, the last thread of life,
while my heart, betrayed, screams in sync
with my muffled cries—
as your hand forces me under.
My eyes search for yours,
but the surface blurs your face.
Yet, in the rippling depths,
my own gaze looks back—
filled with pity and hate.

That is a haunting and touching write, expressing pain and suffering through out.
