Morning begins to break
Another rejection I cannot take
Another masterpiece the publishers
Refuse to print and create
My ego truly believes they've
Made a huge mistake.
Covered in gasoline
From my head to my toes
The manuscripts dumped into the trashcan
Due to be set on fire
Death is now my only desire.
No more hesitation on my part
One by one the pages
Start to be erased
Memoirs of the poet I'll never be
The friends or family I'll never see
The crumbling pages, turn to ash in my hands
No more drama, no more pain
As I go up in flames.
