I am a Flower

AmIAPoet-QuestionMark

I am a flower

My pedals reach far beyond my hands

The earth is connected to me

The sky surrounds my smell

It flows as a mist from the ocean

My leaves collect the sun when I am hungry

My stem carries my weight through the air

Planted strongly in the earth

The wind runs past and looks back with trepidation

My roots they elongate and weave themselves to the core

Of Mother Earth

She nourishes me and my pedals and my stem and my leaves and I grow pollen

The bees are my friends

They touch me and make me happy

And talk to my family

And spread my genes

I am a flower and I am earth

I enjoyed this read and the idea that humans are like flowers, we clearly have a lot in common with them, nice write
