I dreamed that I had
a boat on a leash,
which was strange
because moments before,
I had it in the ocean,
and I was fishing off
the starboard side.
My nephew was with me
and he got us lost.
We dragged that boat all
over Ventura.
We were looking for
the marina.
The longer that the boat
was on the leash,
the smaller it got.
Pretty soon it was
just a toy, a poisoned
dog that we
threw in the trash.

Great write
Thank you.
You're welcome
Throwing away something that's poison, a very strange and powerful piece, love the dream scene I have the weirdest probably something to do with our overworking imaginations 🌹
Me too. You are the sweetest, dear Teddy.
Thank you Thomas for a good read.
Thank you, much.
You are very welcome
Good write T.
Thanks.
So tempting to interpret in metaphor but best left open. The poem like a dream itself is a flow and occupies the mind at the end I wake up to the same feeling I have after a dream. Lovely
Thank you, so much.
A quaint and delightful poem! Dreams can be strange, but they can also fire our imagination!
Thanks.
Loved the read and the metaphors used. I wanted more!
Thank you.
Very Nice. Made me think out loud
Thanks, brother.
The last few lines got me for sure.
I appreciate it.
