Becoming More

My Boy Ryngkhlem

I reached for something real,
a moment to think, to breathe, to be.
Then you came along, offering help,
without hesitation, without a second thought.

There’s something about the way you are.
And somewhere deep inside, a thought lingers:
I like you. More than I should.

But I push it away,
because what do I have to offer?
What could make me worthy of someone like you?

Still, your kindness stays, unchanged,
asking nothing, expecting nothing.
And maybe, just maybe,
it’s not about deserving you,
but learning to believe
that I, too, can be more.
