Brother

Freddi

I would do anything for my brother—
It is not just my fate, but my deepest wish,
Etched into my very soul,
A vow unbreakable, stronger than blood.

If you were stranded in a distant land,
I would learn to fly a plane,
Master the skies, defy the wind,
Chase the horizon until I found you,
Because no border, no storm, no force on earth
Could keep me from bringing you home.

If the night left you cold and trembling,
I would give you my last shirt without hesitation,
Wrap you in my own warmth,
And let the frost bite me instead.
Your comfort matters more than my suffering,
Because your pain is my pain,
And I would bear it all if it meant you’d never have to.

If the world ever lost sight of you,
If you vanished into silence and shadow,
I would take my own blood,
And paint your portrait with trembling hands,
So no wall, no alley, no stranger’s gaze
Could ever forget the face I’m searching for.

My heart beats to the same rhythm as yours,
A silent symphony only we can hear,
A melody that binds us beyond flesh,
Beyond time, beyond even death itself.

And if danger ever came for you,
If the darkness tried to take you,
I would stand before you without fear,
Shield you with my own body,
Absorb every blow, every wound,
And never let harm touch you.

And if you wept,
If sorrow carved rivers down your face,
I would take my scarf and dry every tear,
Until there were none left to fall,
Until the weight of the world no longer pressed upon your shoulders.

For you, my brother, I would do anything.
Not because I must, but because I choose to.
Because love this deep knows no limits,
And I would give everything—
Even myself—
To keep you safe.
