Close

Hi. I wrote a new piece, it’s from the perspective of Miss Honey. It’s called: Close.

I was certain I,

Couldn’t escape the life,

Reality had written for me

And I was scared that I,

If I flew, I would crash and fall,

Alone, cracked my lifeline,

And had no-one to blame,

For the fight for my name,

But pathetic… Little…Me…

But suddenly,

You are holding me close

You helped me to see,

I am more than what my reality,

Has written for me

‘Cause suddenly,

You are holding me close

I had believed that I,

Would never be heard,

But you

Stood heartened by my crafted world,

And for that I’m indebted to you

You are,

My whole heart

And every line I recite in my story,

Every word you have written for me,

Your love has morphed into my reality,

Out from my heart, and into my skin

You are

You are

My whole heart

My whole life

You enter the darkness,

You light me with life

You helped me face my fears,

You held my hand,

As tears are subsiding

We are evolving,

The world we are fighting

And in your arms I am crying

Feeling the safety,

Of your arms wrapped around me

Because suddenly,

You are holding me close

I can hear the need for affiliation affection in this poem. It cries out for someone to be there. Very nice
