Summer Serenity

Salvia.S

Water splashed on the face,
With cool breeze's embrace
Dreams of a sunny day,
Contentment in a simple way

Yellow, green, and  blue atmosphere
Experiencing summer in the biosphere
The orange hues of tangerine,
Fresh lemon's slumber in the brine

Waves crashing at the sandy expanse,
Waiting for the heat to collapse
Green mint scent so divine,
Savor of aqua, feeling so fine

Sun shines golden so bright
Shadows of the silent night
Tenderness of coconut water
Hydrating watermelons matter

Trees once shimmered in sunlight,
Lost their leaves in drought's might
Waiting for the next spring to arrive,
The refreshing blossoms to receive.

The words paint an idyllic picture, just like the picture accompanying the poem.
β€œLost their leaves in drought's might
Waiting for the next spring to arrive...”
The might of the drought overcame the flowers. However, hope is introduced here : next spring. Thus, the flowers do not die off; they will rejuvenate with a change in the seasons. Soman Ragavan.
