If I could sing

Maplespal

If I could sing

If I could sing I would write you a song,
make it meaningful and rhythmically strong.
Flow a sense of vibes into its beat,
have fingers tapping and moving feet.

I would write that song if I could sing,
layered metaphors I'd put in that thing.
Write of love and of being apart,
make it meaningful and touch your heart.

Heavy weighted, the feelings I'd lift,
the rhythms flow, the words they'd drift.
Float to the tapping fingers imitating beat,
dance around the inspired moving feet.

The song I would bring if I could sing,
the layered metaphors and the rhythm things.
From the beats and words vibrating for ears,
the song I'd write bringing smiles and tears.

If I could sing I would write for you,
a song that will touch your heart straight through.
Penetrate the frozen of your thoughts shroud,
have you singing and playing it loud.

If I could sing,
the song I'd bring.

Music adds so much to the poetry of the lyrics and I too have thought if I could only write music as well as poetry what songs I'd make. A most beautiful write.
