The last bell

arial

With the warmth that grazed my last sense of rhythm

On a pillow I laid with my breaths a little shaken

For the heart that has lived its life for hurdle

Was at last too quiet for my body to slumber

All I know that I smiled I was satisfied with my leisure

As I took the walk to my lane where my memories still lingered

A poem that required several readings to better understand. Mind provoking now I feel at rest thinking that I have probed its depths
