Yesterday Was

Poetic Licence

Yesterday Was.

Yesterday Was the Day

Some Hearts were

Healed and.

Loving words Were

Spoken.

Some Hearts Were

Rejected

Shattered and

Broken.

Some Hearts Danced

To the Music

Inside.

Some Hearts Drowned

In the Tears

They

Cried.

Some Hearts Had

Love flowing

Freely.

Some Hearts Awoke

Painful

Memories.

Some Hearts Rejoiced

At the Love

They

Received.

Some Hearts Remembered

Lost loved

Ones

And They

Grieved.

No Two Hearts

Are Ever The

Same.

Yet They All

Take part

In the

Emotional game.

All Hearts will Have

Times That Are

Good And bad.

All Hearts Will Have

Times That Are

Happy and Sad.

To Those Hearts Who

Danced Yesterday

With

Joy Inside .

Remember please

For Some.

Hearts

That is Not.

What

It Was Like.

A fave for the message contained in your poem. Sensitivity, empathy, awareness are things that have been dulled in a fast moving society. Being aware that not all people experience life the same is critical to being a caring person. A most poignant write. Nicely worded and written.

A thing called the heart is so easy to break, yet so many times, it heals with love. The chances were high yesterday. Love this poemโค๏ธ

Yesterday seemed to be filled with hearts broken and otherwise. A very thoughtful poem. Enjoyed reading

There's something of sheer solace in this seemingly simple piece which yet so capable says so much more than would seem, covering the bases gently with such a tender hand, likeas a mother's. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

This is a very touching poem Tobani. A reminder of the lonely people on Valentineโ€™s Day, and there are many of them. I particularly enjoyed the structure and the repetition of some hearts, worked well. A favourite.
