I)
The clock strikes midnight, but time stands still.
The moon rises above, against time's will.
I still sit and shall cry
like a statue that dies
while time moves across the hill.

II)
Dawn did dawn above time's hill,
and with remorse did time it fill.
I still sat and then I did laugh
for time's legs were promptly halved,
it stopped for walking was nil.
