If loving me was hard and draining,

I’m really sorry for the weight I added.

I know I’m not the easiest to hold,

Not the easiest to understand.

I regret the times I made it harder for you.

 

I’m full of flaws, full of contradictions.

I’m sorry for testing you,

For the stress I caused,

For the exhaustion I brought.

Please know, I never meant to.

 

But I hope you still saw the love I tried to give.

I’m sorry if loving me felt like a burden.

With that said, I want you to know -

Even though it was hard,

I cherished every bit of love you gave me.
