Tears

CuriousWanderer

Have you ever felt
As I do now?
Like a torrent of water
Which through rocks plow

Filled with so much emotion
Your dam's bound to break
It threatens to drown you
At every mistake

Everyone says
You have to stop crying
But fuck them
I've long stopped trying

Cry, until your heart's content
Of joy, of sorrow
Of the beauty and horrors
That might come tomorrow

Cause what is a tear
But emotion overflowing?
It waters your earth
And keeps you growing

One tear alone
Is worth a thousand words
It lifts off your pain
Like a flock of birds

So no matter what anyone says
Cry until your eyes are spent
And hopefully they will understand
What that truly meant

  • Caring dove

Nice way with words like the mention of water rocks and birds in this

I think crying releases things .. you don’t have to stop crying and it can’t always be helped

  • Poetic Licence

I echo the message in this lovely write, crying is a release and is better than holding it all in, well expressed write

A poem that shows that emoting is not a bad thing. Nicely worded with a sense of anger and power.
