She’s dancing in the flame

Li Yanmey

She dances in a ring of fire... (c) Jim Morrison

She’s dancing in the flame.

Not touching the ground,

She’s flying like in dreams.

Hundreds of loyal snakes

Are around the fire

And quietly singing for her

About a faraway winds,

About the sands and the pain

Which are sung in verse

Of her great God,

Of reptiles’ King,

Of words keeper.

She’s dancing in the flame,

And It licks her skin,

Tenderly, like in dreams.

Pain and fears have gone,

Only passion without chains

Lights up a shade of darkness.

Comes to the light

Those who are closer to her.

Like godly delirium

She murmurs the lyrics.

The King quietly heeds her,

Drawing the dreams.

He comes into fire,

Hugging and tempting.

He is crafty and tricky.

King of reptiles,

Rebel and poet –

She’s not afraid of him.

She’s dancing in flame

With her King,

But now it’s not dreams.

Exotic, sensual metaphoric and ending in a dance with a cobra king very Freudian indeed. A lovely read
