If she had seen me
As I thought she saw me
She would not have resisted
My wit and my scope
In fact she looked through me
With eyes of rejection
And too little affection
For a glimmer of hope.
If she had loved me
As I hoped she could love me
I would have responded
By loving her more
In fact on reflection
There was little detection
Of a positive response
Or a hint of rapport...

Such a common view that so many have yet so narcissistic in view. If we could only see ourselves as others do then how different it would be. A lovely write
I love this, if we could see what they can see, we would be better off for it. Enjoyed the read
