In far off times
It did befit
All manners of being
And dwelling in bliss
What sprung forth
was the divine
The rounded ways
And tried paths
Adventure in simplicity
building foundations
Experiencing as they went
Into realms of the unknown
forefathers pushing frontiers
into the deep wide engulfing
Ever yielding abyss
Forever forging a known
While we sit idly
awaiting salvation
A knock on the door
Which never comes
Caught in stagnation
eating breadcrumbs
From a dried up source
That no longer springs forth

Door knockers these days offer all sorts of stuff these days, as well. They violate the โno door knocking sign as wellโฆ. ๐๐ป๐
Bread crumbs seldom are sufficient to sustain a hungry soul. A most interesting read
A thought provoking read which was enjoyable to read
