ROMANTIC WARRIOR

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

The romantic warrior
Blinded by
The mist of tears
That fill his eyes
In this dreaming land
This faraway
With tender step
A longing prayer.

Onward now
Body wearying
Limbs which ache
Heart thats bleeding
The battle closing
Sinew steeling
To meet his thoughts
The troubled breathing.

For this faraway
A land between
The living soul
A haunted dream
A kiss that lingers
A tender touch
In this battle
He loves so much.

A very romantic view of life and itโ€™s challenges. Don Quixoteโ€™s windmill giants are a far cry from this reality. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š

Chasing a dream is a long journey that is like trying to catch a cloud in a net or the classic looking for the end of a rainbow. A lovely write.
