Commercial Road

TommyDingo

Like cockroaches and vampires
That are scared of the light
The scumbags and curb crawlers
And crack addicts around here
Only come out at night.

The red light district
The wrong side of town
Filled up with hookers and whores
Drug dealers and people looking
To score.

Prostitutes call out my name
Trying to get my attention
Trying to get me to stay
But I say no I must be on my way.

Homeless tramps beg me for change
Hooligans are spoiling for a fight
The corner boys are running game
The drunks are howling at the sky
Secretly I think deep down they all want to die.

Down on the corner
Stands a woman that I used to know
But that was long ago
Now she looks 100 years old
She's selling her body and her soul
Down on commercial road.
