Ephesians 5:14
Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
Awake from your slumber, rise anew,
Light of Christ breaks shadows through.
From deaths dark sleep, heed the call,
His Grace illuminates, redeems us all.
Step forth, alive, in mercys glow,
Eternal love, forever flows.

- Comment from author about the poem: Ephesians 5:14 calls out to the weary soul, urging those trapped in spiritual slumber to awaken and embrace the radiant light of Christ. This verse, like the gentle touch of dawn, reminds us that even in the deepest darkness, the grace of God calls us to life. The poem, Those That Sleep, reflects this divine invitation. It paints a picture of transformation—where shadows recede before the brilliance of mercy, and death's hold is shattered by eternal love. Each line mirrors the scripture’s plea to arise and step into the fullness of His light.

Amen 🙏🏻🕊
Powerful work.
As I read scripture, some verses speak to me and inspire the writing that follows. Filtered through the eyes I have been given. My hope is that it resonates with his kingdom.
Excellent write
