Fatuous Clay

Abdullah123

Let the fatuous sunbeams spread
beyond the shouldering hills.
Let the toiling love be ablazed-
O let the clay grow nil!
Was it for this the moonlit grew
and the waters churned and laved?
Was it for this the tears fell
on bosoms proud and raised?
Then O let the fire burn-
burn those fatuous rays.
