I miss you
I miss the sound of your voice,
the directions of your choice.
I miss the conversations had,
the insight you would add.
I miss you.
Listening to Dido's No Freedom.
Her soothing voice and the drums.
Reminding me of your rhythm and flow,
the times we spoke of the secrets we know.
The personal moments we lived through,
before we considered us one now two.
These sounds these melodies,
these moments that remind you to me.
I miss you.
When I listen to Fun's, Some Nights,
I understand the implied internal fights.
From the nights, days, months away from you,
away from the sounds missed true.
Away from the only voice my ears wanted,
the only voice, to my heart it taunted.
Music reminding me of what's now past,
time reminding me it didn't last.
Sorry, for missing the sound of you,
just know I also miss all of you.
I miss you.

It is not just the person we miss but all the memories and the parts of life that go with them. Lovely
