My soft, smooth hair lays upon my pillow.
My pillow, glossy from the silk pillowcase
I dressed it in. Dripping in lavender from a shower.
My pillow, squishy as it holds all my dreams.
My mind danced with gleams of knives,
A dystopia I cannot run from, I cannot escape.
The knives, showing a razor sharp edge.
The music starts and I feel myself go rigid.
A man stands, mystical and smirking.
His shark-teeth reminds me they’re a weapon too.
I awake and feel my prickly, sweaty skin
Attached to my bedding.
Boom Boom Boom!
“Bella?”
Bouncing into her room,
She’s elsewhere.
Bang Bang Bang!
Both of my hands cover my kisser,
I stood there, angry.
Who is making such noises?
I walk to the window,
And there I see,
The man with the shark-teeth
And the stupid smirk.
His hand held a knife
That made me feel fear.
His boots crunchy on the leaves
He kills without a thought.
Wandering through the windy woods,
Looking for a friend.
As I stand at my window,
Winded with worry,
I’m just glad the music
Didn’t make a show.
He might not always leave.
