From Station to Station

Li Yanmey

From Station to Station –

Life and Death.

From Station to Station –

A Lie and A Vow.

From Station to Station –

War and Peace.

From Station to Station –

Pain and Spring.

All our life is just a trek

From Station to Station and to The end.

Sweet daydreams and madness...

The Destany train goes off the rails.

From Station to Station –

It was and it is.

From Station to Station –

It’s a lot and it’s a few.

From Station to Station –

It’s rain and it’s frost.

From Station to Station

At it’s finally over.

  • Comment from author about the poem: It was a time when I was trying to realize the fact that David Bowie was gone. I was listening to his songs, and at some point I caught this phrase and thought that our life really is a transition from one station to another.\r\nAnd yes, Bowie is alive for me. But at that time, it seemed to me that I had lost a part of my soul.

Life part of a cycle that repeats itself as the cosmic clock winds down in entropy. The poem emphasizes the changing at each station and that the train may derail between stations. A very cyclical feel to the poem itself. Lovely
